Welcome to Casa José Ricardo
Modern, bright duplex flat of 180 square meters in a century-old villa provides the comfort and space that are essential to relax and feel like at home. Four-bedroom, three bath, self-catering holiday apartment located in a central but quiet street close to market, small restaurants and shops.
The perfect apartment for a family vacation, a holiday with friends or a romantic weekend getaway.
A big fully equipped kitchen, two adjacent living areas, terrace, and one double-bedroom are located on first floor of the villa. The top floor accommodates two double bedrooms (one en-suite) and a single room.
Enjoy the private patio with wooden deck and charcoal barbecue. Thick stone walls let the house stay cool in summer and an efficient central heating keeps it cosy on colder days.
Exclusively for our guests, we offer 'foodie' experiences: a private cooking class at Casa José Ricardo including a visit at the farmer's market; wine tasting in a nearby adega, as well as tours individually designed by our cook to explore the flavours of Portugal - combined with exploring our region's natural beauty.
A home away from home
If you fancy cooking, you'll like our fully equipped kitchen, with gas cooker, oven, fridge and freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Besides utensils, plates, glasses and cookware, a food processor, electric kettle, coffeemaker and Wok, there are many spices - oil, vinegar - so you don't have to bring these essentials . You can explore our collection of cookbooks on Portuguese cuisine, in English and other languages. Towels and house and bath linen are provided; a washing machine, iron and hair dryer are at your disposal. We provide beach towels at no charge: just help us by washing them before you leave.
Attention to detail
Small things often make a big difference: a selection of children's books and games are available, including a doll's house and a Schleich animal zoo. Enjoy the free time with your kids and discover together the beautiful surroundings during family outings. Come back to the house and enjoy an atmosphere where you can wonderfully relax. Boardgames, books, maps and guidebooks as well as wifi, international tv channels, radio and CD player with a selection of Portuguese and international CDs and a wide choice of DVDs are available.
