Comfortable holiday apartment in beautifully restored historical villa in Sintra

Welcome to Casa José Ricardo, a great place to stay in Sintra. This charming and exclusive self-catering holiday apartment is located in the quiet Estefânia district. It is in one of Sintra's beautiful turn-of-century chalets, a villa in a tree-lined street near the local market hall and close to the Museum of Modern Art. Transformed into a modern, luxurious flat of about 180 squaremeters - distributed over two floors, Casa José Ricardo holiday apartment provides the comfort and space that are essential to relax and feel like at home.

Through an entrance hall on the groundfloor which features a beautiful stuck ceiling, you proceed to a small private entrance hall and take the stairs to the 1st floor. Here are kitchen, dining room and living room, access to a small terrace, a double bedroom and a full bathroom. The backstairs from the kitchen lead to the yard. On the 2nd floor, which is the top floor of the building, are three spacious rooms with high ceilings and visible roof beams. Two of the bedrooms have queensize beds and a third room has a single bed (90x190cm). A small bed for a child and a travel-cot are available. This floor has a full bathroom with bathtub/shower and bidet and an elegant en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower off one of the double-bedrooms.

Feel like at home
Games, guidebooks, books, maps, a large flatscreen TV and DVD player, you can choose from a wide range of DVDs in our library free of charge. There is a radio/CD player, an i-pod dock as well as a phone; free internet access is at your disposal.

If you fancy cooking, you'll like our fully equipped kitchen which has besides a gas cooker, convection& ordinary electric oven, fridge/freezer-combi and microwave also a dishwasher. Besides utensils, plates, glasses and cookware, kettle and a coffeemaker, there are spices and Portuguese cookbooks, in English and other languages. You will also find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board in the house. A cot and a small bed for a child as well as a high-chair are available; we have now also a baby car-seat for a small child and a booster seat for children from 10kgs. We provide all towels and linens, and a choice of pillows.

Thick stone walls let the house stay cool in summer and a central heating keeps it cosy on colder days. In summer you can enjoy our small backgarden, perhaps grill fish on the charcoal barbecue.
